Zwift + Vexar Training
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Vexar Training is an AI endurance coach. Connect your Zwift account and it sends your structured cycling sessions to Zwift, then reads your completed rides back in and scores how closely you hit the target.
Vexar Training is an independent app, not a Zwift product.
Zwift support can’t troubleshoot Vexar. If something isn’t working with this integration, email admin@vexartraining.com and we’ll pick it up.
The basics
What does the integration actually do?
Two things, both automatic once connected:
- Structured cycling workouts you plan in Vexar are sent to your Zwift account and scheduled on the day you planned them for.
- Rides you complete in Zwift come back into Vexar on their own, with the full recording — power and heart-rate traces, lap splits, normalized power, TSS and IF.
Is this made by Zwift?
No. Vexar Training is a separate company. We use Zwift’s official Training API under an approved partner integration, which is why you approve the connection through Zwift’s own sign-in page.
What does Vexar access in my Zwift account?
Your completed activities, and the ability to add and remove workouts on your own Zwift calendar. That’s the whole scope.
Vexar never sees your Zwift password — you sign in on Zwift’s page, and Zwift hands us an access token you can revoke at any time. What we store and who we share it with is in our privacy policy.
Does it change anything on my Zwift account?
Only your calendar, and only the workouts Vexar put there. Notably, your Zwift FTP is used but never changed — sessions are written as a percentage of FTP, so Zwift applies whatever FTP is set on your Zwift profile. We don’t overwrite it, and we don’t touch your rides, your followers, or anything else.
Connecting and disconnecting
How do I connect?
In Vexar, go to Settings → Integrations → Zwift → Connect. You’ll be sent to Zwift to sign in and approve access, then returned to Vexar.
How do I disconnect or revoke Vexar's access?
Either side works, and both fully revoke access:
- In Vexar — Settings → Integrations → Zwift → Disconnect. This also cancels our access on Zwift’s side.
- On Zwift — zwift.com → Account → Connections. Zwift tells us, and Vexar drops the connection.
Rides already imported stay in your Vexar account, and workouts Vexar already put in your Zwift folder stay there. Disconnecting stops any further exchange.
Do I need a particular Zwift plan or hardware?
No — a standard Zwift account is all that’s needed. Because workouts are power-based, you’ll want a smart trainer or power meter to ride them as prescribed, the same as any Zwift workout.
Sending workouts to Zwift
Where do my workouts show up in Zwift?
Under Workouts → Custom, in a folder called Vexar Training, and on your Zwift home screen on the day the session is scheduled for. Send it as far in advance as you like — it appears on the planned day, in your local time.
Can I send running workouts to Zwift?
Not currently. Vexar sends power-based cycling sessions only — see the answer above for why.
What if I change or delete a workout after sending it?
- Edit it and Zwift follows. Change the session or move it to another day, and the existing Zwift calendar entry is updated in place. You don’t press send again, and you don’t get duplicates.
- Delete it and it leaves your Zwift calendar. The workout file stays in your Vexar Training folder in Zwift, so a session you liked isn’t lost.
- Sending the same workout twice does nothing. If it’s already on your calendar unchanged, Vexar says so rather than scheduling it again. Sending a different workout for the same day adds it alongside the first.
Rides coming back from Zwift
Do I need to sync after a ride?
No. When Zwift saves your ride it arrives in Vexar on its own, usually within a few minutes.
If the ride was one of the workouts Vexar sent you, the planned session is marked completed, or abandoned if you stopped early — an abandoned session stays on your plan rather than being ticked off.
My Zwift ride didn't appear in Vexar. What do I do?
Open Settings → Integrations → Zwift and press Sync past rides. That pulls anything that didn’t arrive automatically; rides already imported are skipped.
If it still doesn’t show up, email admin@vexartraining.com with the date of the ride — Zwift support can’t see Vexar’s side of this.
How far back does my Zwift history go?
One year. That’s Zwift’s limit on what the API returns, not ours. Rides with no recorded file aren’t included either.
My history sync stopped partway through. Is it broken?
No. Zwift rate-limits history requests, so a large back catalogue is imported over several runs. Press Sync past rides again later — rides already imported are skipped, so it picks up where it left off rather than starting over.
Plans and billing
Do I need to pay to use the Zwift integration?
Sending workouts to Zwift is included from the Basic plan ($9.99/mo) upward, alongside Wahoo push and .zwo download.
The Free plan lets you use the coach and build a plan — 5 coach messages, 1 training plan and 3 execution scores a month — but not push sessions out to Zwift. Full details in Getting started.
Still stuck?
How do I get help?
Email admin@vexartraining.com. If it’s about a specific workout or ride, include the date and what you expected to happen — that’s usually enough for us to trace it.
